Overview
The Shorts Winter Sale campaign is aimed squarely at South Australians to boost tourism in the state between May and August.
The campaign offers an extra night's accommodation free, plus brilliant bonuses such as discounts on tours and attractions.
This is backed by an advertising campaign, which is part of the $500,000 year-long Shorts campaign.
Holidays with bonus accommodation nights can be booked from 12 May to 31 August as part of the Shorts Winter Sale campaign.
Why the Shorts Winter Sale?
- The SATC is promoting the message that there's no need for South Australians to go over the border or overseas this winter to enjoy a world-class holiday.
- We are urging South Australians to get out there and support our industry over the coming months with a holiday in their own state.
- The Shorts Winter Sale campaign includes offers from all 12 of South Australia's tourism regions.
What is the Shorts Winter Sale?
- The Shorts Winter Sale campaign means South Australians who book a selected holiday from the South Australian Shorts book will receive an extra night's accommodation free, plus brilliant bonuses such as discounts on tours and attractions.
- The Shorts Winter Sale campaign kicked off on Mother's Day, Sunday 11 May, with a 32-page insert in Adelaide's Sunday Mail .
- The campaign continues with a print, radio and online advertising blitz, as well as a direct mail-out to more than 60,000 South Australians.
- The 2008/2009 South Australian Shorts book, which was launched in March, is the definitive guide to holidaying in South Australia, offering more than 340 great holiday deals on accommodation, houseboats, tours, cruises and hire vehicles.
What will the Shorts Winter Sale achieve?
- This campaign aims to increase visitation by South Australians to all South Australia's regions between May and August.
- The success of the campaign will be measured by the number of booking requests received in response to the campaign.
