Regional Tourism Committees: CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

We are seeking expressions of interest from people to volunteer their services on the ministerial appointed Regional Tourism Committees in the following regions:

It is an exciting time for the South Australian Tourism Commission as we embrace an ambitious State tourism target of $6.3 billion in tourism expenditure by 2014.

It is essential that applicants meet the following requirements:

• Ability to work with a diverse team to achieve the right outcomes.
• Extensive business experience and skills.
• Strategic outlook.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to influence and generate support.
• Financial planning and budget skills.
• Ability to contribute time for meetings and take on work on behalf of the committee.

Preferred but not essential:

• Knowledge of the Tourism and Travel Industry.
• Product knowledge and relationships with key stakeholders.

Three copies of the Expression of Interest application form must be provided and marked “Confidential” and addressed to Regional Development Coordinator, South Australian Tourism Commission, GPO Box 1972, Adelaide, SA 5001 by close of business Friday 30 th May 2008.
